Echo Backpack Blower

Echo Backpack Blower was first introduced to me a year or so ago. A friend said that he had found the most useful tool he had ever used for his garden. At first I was very sceptical. After all, for me devices that blew leaves were all the same to me. Reluctantly I had a go with the blower. My first impression was how easy it was to control and to use the throttle. The air speed that came out of it was amazing, and didn’t leave a single leaf where I didn’t want it.
I went on to buy one of these fantastic products myself. When cleaning my garden it usually takes 3-4 days to get everything off the floor and bagged up etc. With the Echo leaf blower, it was all done in a day. One of the things I was most amazed about was the apparent ease of moving the leaves. When the leaves get wet and stick to the ground it can be a real pain having to almost individually remove them all. Not with the Echo blower! Seemingly effortless to use and producing amazing results I didn’t even mind forking out a few big bucks to get one for myself.
I live in quite an enclosed area, and there are houses with young children either side of me. As you can imagine such a powerful product as this can tend to be quite loud. With the backpack blower, you can set the speed it blows out at, so when you are using a lower speed it emits virtually no noise whatsoever. Full speed is only ever really needed for wet leaves or other garden objects that really do not want to budge.
Not only does the product perform great, it also looks fantastic. Made out of solid metal and well placed plastic controls, it’s a joy to use. People often ask me, ”seeing as the Echo is so solid and made from metal how on earth do you actually blow leaves as surely it’s a struggle to even hold it”. The good thing is, that its not actually very heavy. Weighing only 3lbs, you can easily handle it for 2- 2 ½ hours before you need to set it down. The shoulder strap is very well padded, and provides great protections from getting frictions burns on your arm.
The petrol tank is large enough to give you approximately 1-2 hours worth of fuel depending on the speed at which you run the backpack blower. The tank is 69 oz.
I am yet to find a condition to which I cannot use the blower within reason. One time even, when I had a very bad back I was trying to spread some new soil over my old flowerbeds. I just couldn’t manage it, so I cut the bag of soil open and put all the soil in a pile In the middle of the flowerbed. Using the Blower on full speed I managed to evenly spread the soil over the flowerbed, which saved my back form a lot of pain.
So to finalize, if you are looking to buy a leaf blower, and are unsure which brand to go for I highly recommend the Echo blower. Although you may pay slightly more than the average high street shop brands, the quality you are getting for that money is incredible, and being so long lasting you will not have to buy another on for a long time.
